The Lovelace – A “hotel happening” in the middle of Munich, Germany

Lovelace Lobby
Lobby, The Lovelace

The Lovelace is located in a listed building which used to be a Bavarian bank with a long tradition. It has stood here for more than a century. Yet everything in there is temporary: the lobby, the café, the (cardboard) signage, the rooms, the event spaces.

The owners don’t call this a hotel or an event location. No – they call it a „hotel happening“. Why? Because they’ve set this up as a pop-up hotel for only a couple of years, from 2017 to 2019. So if you want to take the opportunity and do an event in this unique space be quick.

3 studios from 20 to 80 sqms (215 – 860 sqft) and the housetop bar with 185 sqms (1.990 sqft) on the third floor make the event space. They can be rented together or individually, according to your needs. All rooms have daylight. The bigger rooms also feature long green walls, covered with plants, and a glass wall towards the open gallery (there are blinds for privacy if required). Beamer, screen and WiFi are available in all rooms. A small kitchen allows your caterer to prepare and serve food freshly onsite. Only it should be vegetarian, because this is part of the owners’ concept and conditions.

The gallery offers separate lounge areas with mobile bars, which lend themselves for coffee breaks and networking. Or you can use it as a kind of grandstand to look down three floors onto the café/bar area, the „Flying Lobby“ when this is being used as a stage for a performance or a speech. The huge glass window above allows for plenty of daylight in this area too.

Lovelace Terrace
View from the terrace, The Lovelace

If you want to get some fresh air in-between sessions you can get out onto one of two small terraces. Climb a few stairs and enjoy the view of some of Munich’s beautiful old town with its Frauenkirche at Marienplatz and the Theatinerkirche at Munich’s Odeonsplatz.

So if you want to do an event for 20 or up to 400 people in Munich in a unique environment which will not be there for very much longer take the chance now.
