A real alpine log cabin as an event venue in the middle of the city?

Well, not quite in the middle of the city but on the racecourse in the Munich district of Riem, not far away from the Munich trade show grounds.

I visited as part of a Munich venues tour not long ago and was truly impressed.

This cabin is built out of real wood with original old wood to decorate the walls.

Together with a great number of carefully selected decoration pieces, like real old tools, wooden wheels, antlers, and the rustic Bavarian beer benches and tables the whole ambiance makes you feel as if you were in the middle of the mountains.

And of course, you don’t have to go on an exhausting hiking tour but get there quite comfortably, and within only about 20 minutes from the city centre, by car, coach or S-Bahn train.

Traditional and authentic, yet clean and elegant this place is a clearly outstanding venue. It can accommodate up to 1,000 guests but the venue owners also know how to create a cosy and warm atmosphere for just over 100 people.

And if the Munich racecourse is not quite the location of your choice but you are intrigued by the idea of holding your event in a proper alpine log cabin, you’ll be thrilled to learn that you can rent a mobile cabin of this kind. This can be set up in many different locations within a few days but requires good advance planning to make sure it fits within the given environment and your budget.
