Park Café, Munich, Germany

Park Café is an unusual venue because of its mix of styles and its location. It can be found on the Northern edge of Munich’s old Botanical Gardens and has an extensive traditional beer garden.

Inside however, the main bar area has a rather stylish gilded, modern and elegant cocktail bar feel. With high ceilings and a tall back wall to the bar, subtle and classy lighting the mix is actually quite cool and not what one would expect from a venue with a beer garden at all.

We looked at the private room “Kaminsaal” which is suitable for approximately 50-180 people depending on seating/usage. It has a warm, elegant and clean atmosphere that lends itself to evening dinners and networking receptions.

Guests can access the room through an adjacent mini-courtyard. An approximately 3-metre high wall and a double door entrance to the mini-courtyard guarantee privacy. The privacy aspect is something suitable for new product launches or advanced preview events with the press. With the appropriate weather, lighting, furniture and décor this is an attractive place to receive guests with an apéritif or cocktail.

The “Kaminsaal” has a projector mounted to the ceiling which makes the room equally suitable for commercial presentations if you are, for example, looking for an alternative to a hotel meeting room.

The Park Café is situated just a short walk away from Munich’s main train station which makes it easily reachable for national and international guests.

All in all, far more suitable as a business location than one would perhaps assume when viewing it from the beer garden.
