Avalon Kraftwerk, Munich, Germany

Avalon KraftwerkThe Avalon Kraftwerk is a former electricity generating house. Stripped and converted into a venue location, the semi-industrial halls with multi-level spaces make a very interesting environment.

Far from the cold grey concrete normally associated with former industrial complexes, the décor is clean, simple and friendly.

The listed brick building is over 100 years old and offers space for a multitude of different events. We have seen fashion shows, mini trade shows and evening events at this location, and consider it an interesting place for something just that little bit out of the ordinary.

The two main halls have very high ceilings, (9-16 metres, approx. 30-42 feet) allowing for presentations and performances that would not be possible in most other locations.

A smaller adjacent room is ideal as a catering, registration or break-out area. And outside, a lovely roof-topped patio with wooden floor invites your guests to catch some fresh air. Of course this area also lends itself to be used as a welcome reception area.

Access is easy using public transport. The local city rail network (S-Bahn) has a station “Riem” right next door. There is also ample parking, sufficient for coaches. Bringing larger numbers of guests to the location is no problem.

Another plus: Avalon Kraftwerk is located near the main Munich show grounds. So if you want to combine your trade show presence with an evening or side event, then this may be the venue of your choice.
